Unpaginated with varying page counts. Text in mostly in German, some Portuguese and Italian.

A complete run of eleven issues of ‘konkrete poesie = poesia concreta,’ widely regarded as one of the earliest European publications on the subject of concrete poetry. Edited and published by Eugen Gomringer, one of the founders of the movement, featuring a global list of artists and poets, including participants of the Noigandres Group.

A very good to near fine set, with the exception of issue no. 4, of this scarce and fragile publication with additional condition notes for each issue outlined below.

‘no. 5: tabellen und variationen.’ Claus Bremer. 32 pp. Signed in red ink by the artist on title page. Includes an additional single sheet laid in at front featuring the artists’ biography printed in black on recto side. Featuring a collection of concrete poems. Partial sunning to cover and the common age toning to text block. Very good. Laid in sheet also very good with age toning.

‘no. 6: texte poème poème texte.’ Carlo Belloli. 40 pp. Featuring a collection of concrete poems. Rubbing to covers, including a small closed tear at crown of spine, small stain along spine at rear cover, author’s name underlined in black ink on cover, and the common age toning to text block. Very good.

‘no. 7: livro-poema.’ Ferreira Gullar. 20 pp. Featuring words in various locations on the pages with varying die-cuts, some of which are short, narrow, and diagonal, including two pages which have been pasted together. The common age toning to text block. Fine.

‘no. 8: klare gerührt.’ Ernst Jandl. 20 pp. Includes an additional single sheet laid in at front featuring the artists’ biography printed in black on recto side. Featuring a collection of typescript concrete poems. Sunning to covers and the common age toning to text block. Very good or better. Laid in sheet also very good with partial sunning.

‘no. 9: starryveldt.’ Edwin Morgan. 24 pp. Featuring a collection of typescript concrete poems. Small area of paper loss at crown of spine, name inscription on title page in black ink, and the common age toning to text block. Very good.
