EIN JECKES LOCH AUS KÖLN [original titled and signed postcard with die-cut hole]

[Köln]: N.p., n.d. No binding. Postcard measuring 15 x 10.5 cm (5.9 x 4.13") printed in color on coated glossy stock at recto and black at uncoated verso. Altered with a round die-cut hole at center measuring 2.8 cm (1.1"). Titled in black marker by the artist at upper recto margin, and signed in blue ink by the artist at upper right recto margin. Text in German.

Unique artists’ postcard by Endre Tót featuring an appropriated commercial postcard of the Cologne Cathedral, altered with a round die-cut hole. Added by Tót is a handwritten title in German, which roughly translates to “A CRAZY HOLE FROM COLOGNE.” One in a series of appropriated and altered artists’ postcards, many of which incorporate die-cut holes in various conceptual scenarios. Nobody has more fun than Tót.

Artifact Vibration Standard Score: 8.7.

Trace amounts of chipping around margins, with age toning and rubbing at verso. Very good.

[TIOTB Catalog 6 item 7f.]. Item 1211.
