A Manifesto of Insolent Art 1977 [folded sheet in envelope]

A Manifesto of Insolent Art 1977 [folded sheet in envelope]

Warszawa: N.p., 1977. No binding. Single A4 sheet printed in black at recto, horizontally folded in half. Housed in original C5 brown kraft mailing envelope.

Art-related manifesto by Andrzej Partum, declaring new ways of thinking about art. One in a series of manifestos written in the 1970s by Partum, the artist and founder of the Bureau de la Poésie, which served as one of the first private galleries in Poland. The same manifesto was published the same year by Galeria Arcus in Partum’s book ‘manifestes d’art/the art manifestoes 1971–1977: selected passages from art.’ This example mailed from Partum’s Bureau de la Poésie, as indicated by the return address stamped on the mailing envelope.

Artifact Vibration Standard Score: 8.1.

Envelope opened along left margin, resulting in small closed tears, with postage franking, stamps, and signs of mailing. Folded A4 sheet with three faint diagonal fold lines at top margin, trace amounts of age toning, and a small area of staining at upper verso not visible at recto. Very good.
