Artists’ book by Ferdinand Kriwet that begins with an essay titled ‘Decomposition of the literary unit: notes on visually perceptible literature,’ which explores the history and nature of language as it relates to writing and communication. Illustrated throughout with historical contributions by Guillaume Apollinaire, Stéphane Mallarmé, Jost Aamann, Hugo Ball, Filippo Marinetti, Raymond Hains, Franz Mon, Iliazd, as well as Kriwet himself, who punctuates the essay with a large series of concrete and visual poems, including several from the Rundschreiben series. Includes advertisements for other Nova Broadcast Press publications on the last few pages.
