Catalog issued on the occasion of the exhibition ‘KUNSTENAARSBOEKEN,’ held February 26–March 28, 1990, at the Provinciaal Museum in Hasselt. Edited and designed by Guy and Anne Schraenen, who also organized the exhibition, presenting artists’ books from the A.S.P.C. collection. Illustrated throughout with over fifty works by Stéphane Mallarmé, El Lissitzky, Anette Messager, George Maciunas, Endre Tót, William S. Burroughs, Mirtha Dermisache, Ulises Carrión, Michael Snow, Juan J. Agius, Guy de Cointet, Clemente Padín, J. H. Kocman, Lawrence Weiner, Ji í Valoch, and Ed Ruscha, among others. Includes an introduction by Schraenen, a bibliography, and a chronology of exhibitions organized by Schraenen.
