Hansjörg Mayer’s first catalog as a publisher, issued in 1966 as a folded sheet reminiscent of his ‘futura’ broadside series, promoting early works by Siegfried Cremer, Bohumila Grögerová and Josef Hiršal, Diter Rot, Wolfgang Schmidt, and Emmett Williams, among others. A few of the titles offered include ‘16 4 66,’ ‘concrete poetry britain canada united states,’ ‘futura’ nos. 1–12, and Rot’s ‘scheisse.’ Forthcoming titles include Rot’s ‘die blaue flut,’ Williams’s ‘sweethearts,’ Schmidt’s ‘serie 19,’ Mary Vieira’s ‘polyvolume,’ and Carlo Belloli’s ‘futura 13.’ Mayer’s novel approach to publishing, including his own iconic contributions, embodies a canonical experience. This catalog is an early documentation of so much still to come.
Artifact Vibration Score: 8.9.
Trace amounts of offset rubbing to covers and age toning. Very good or better.
