Catalog published on the occasion of the exhibition ‘SPACE WINDOW*: Man in Space and Space in Art,’ held September 14–October 4, 1977, at Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University. Organized by Eve Vaterlaus and Joan Waltemath, the event included lectures, seminars, and stagings of objects connecting mail art with artifacts from space, including lunar soil, under the premise of “space is the connector of all things.” The catalog, designed by Tom Ockerse, is meant to be read sideways, with the left half reading one way and the right half in the opposite direction, creating an interactive reading experience in which the book must be rotated 180° at each spread.
