One of the earliest assembling publications edited by Ruud van Aarsen, Robert Joseph, and G. J. de Rook. This issue with contributions by Bevant, Hans Clavin, Diderick, A. V. Griensven, Marten Hendriks, P. P. Hendriks, Johan Inkinen, Robert Joseph, Marianne Knops, A. Kuik, Peter Nijmeijer, Nahl Nucha, Jan-Derk Plenter, G. J. de Rook, Jacques L. Schmitz, Sikke, Willy Sneeuw, Toon Verstappen, Paul De Vree, Hans de Vries, Ivo Vroom, and Jaap Wieseman, among others.

A few contributions of note include a typestract concrete poem by Vroom and another by Clavin; a pasted-in typestract concrete poem by De Vree; “graphic poems” by Nucha; a strip of bright green, textured paper pasted down diagonally across two pages titled ‘gras’ by de Vries; several pages of works reproduced in the artist’s handwriting by Joseph; and a three-page interactive poem titled ‘531.441 gedichten’ by de Rook, composed of horizontally die-cut rectangular strips along the right margin, allowing the reader to generate multiple variants of the poem. Given the title, a likely homage to Raymond Queneau’s seminal ‘Cent mille milliards de poèmes,’ devised in a similar manner.

Artifact Vibration Score: 8.7.

Age toning along cover extremities, including a small area of paper loss at crown, a few closed tears, a vertical fold line at rear cover, and lacking original strip of cloth covering spine. Pages with trace amounts of age toning, a small area of compression along top margin affecting most of the text block, and faint offset toning to adjacent pages from tipped-in items. Very good. Item 1329.
