München: 1972. Square softcover 4to in illustrated wrappers printed in green ink throughout. 122 pp. To which is added two folded programs and a promotional flyer. Text in German and English.

A special catalog devoted to contemporary music issued in conjunction with the 1972 Münich Olympics. With scores, performances, compositions, and artwork by many of the musical luminaries including José Luis Alexanco, Herbert Brün, John Cage, Morton Feldman, Nicolaus A. Huber, Dieter Meier, Manfred Mohr, Nam June Paik, Konrad Balder Schäuffelen, Dieter Schnebel, Helmut Schwimmer, Scratch orchestra, Karlheinz Stockhausen, and Andreas Hilsberg. In addtion to the music, there is also a section devoted to computer art by Manfred Mohr. The larger of the two accompanying programs is a fold-out schedule of all the performances between August 29 – September 2, 1972. The catalog design is uncredited, but reminiscent of the iconic 1972 Münich Olympic program designed by Otl Aicher.

Catalog very good with age toning and sunning to covers including a small stain at lower right corner on front, wear and bumps to crown and heel of spine, and previous owner’s name and address rubber stamped on table of contents page. Age toning to one of the folded programs, else fine, other two documents fine. Item #258
