Les Épiphanies

Paris: K Éditeur, 1948. First edition. 8vo softcover in printed red wraps. Inside printed in black and white. 144 pp. Text in all French.

One of the most beautiful books ever to come out of France. Designed by Pierre Faucheux, each character in the play has been assigned an icon giving the reader an opportunity to visually follow along. In addition to the impeccably laid out dialogue, other components include musical scores, DADA references, skull and crossbones, lush black pages with reversed out text, and some early examples of concrete poetry.

Heavy yellowing to pages and chipping to cover and spine which is also cracked (not uncommon with this book), thus good only. Item #26
