To which is added twenty-five plates printed in black and white on recto side only.

A handsome and elaborately produced exhibition catalog issued on the occasion of ‘Concrete Poetry: An Exhibition in Four Parts’, which ran March 28 – April 19, 1969. Featuring twenty-five plates of concrete poetry and art by the likes of Ray Johnson, Hansjörg Mayer, Carlo Belloli, Henri Chopin, Diter Rot (Diether Roth), John Furnival, Emmett Williams, Pierre Garnier, among others. Complete with a folded poster of Michael Morris’ ‘24 Letter Drawings’ and essays eloquently articulating the importance concrete poetry by Kurt von Meier, Michael Rhodes, Edwin Varney, Ian Hamilton Finlay, and Ian Wallace.

One of the more comprehensive exhibitions featuring over sixty artists from across the world, and one of the few to feature the work of Ray Johnson, who clearly belongs in the conversation.
