Poster for Meta-Art

Poster for Meta-Art

Paris: Imprimerie Priesler, 1960s. Folded poster measuring 47.5 x 65 cm (18.6875 x 25.625") printed in orange ink on thin white stock. Text in French.

A poster by the French artist, writer, critic, and teacher who was only active as an artist for a few years in the late 1960s alongside Henri Chopin, Jean-François Bory, Julien Blaine, Paul-Armand Gette, and Christiane Frougny. Together with Yves Charnay, Claude Portail, Georges Aperghis, Gérard Frémy, and Luc Boyer, he was one of the founders of the interdisciplinary art group Meta-Art which focused on the avant-garde.

Very good with handling creases, small area of offset rubbing along right margin, and tears in the paper along fold lines at lower margin on account of the thinness of the stock. Folded four times for mailing. Item #380
