‘2 Lines, 2 Days, 2 Dollars’ / Abstract Drawing

Np: 1961 – 1975. 8.5 x 11" offset printed sheet in black and white on recto and verso. Signed and dated ‘Bern Porter 4/5/75’ in blue ink by the artist on both sides.

This unique Porter piece features a found poem from 1965 printed on the recto and an abstract drawing from 1961 printed on the verso. The two-sided execution does leave one wondering which side to frame. Most likely a deliberate intention by Porter seeing as it’s signed on both sides. The same two pieces appear in Porter’s book Art Productions by Bern Porter, 1928 – 1965. A rare and very Porter-esque piece.

Very good with two strong diagonal fold lines running across the short side of the sheet and rubbing to margins including light foxing to the top-left corner of the found poem. Item #41
