poema azul e branco

Portugal: Np, 1970. Printed envelope 18 x 19 cm (7.1 x 7.5") in size with a round die cut 7 cm (2.75") window containing two folded sheets of paper that are blue on one side and white on the other. Text in Portuguese.

A visual poem by the Portuguese avant-garde artist featuring an envelope with two sheets of blue and white paper each folded a different way so that can be rearranged to alter the poem. The text printed on the envelope translates roughly to:

Blue and white poem
• The most active color form is in the expression of the poem
• “read” the poem is simply a fold and unfold
• The semantics charge is depersonalized at any level of construction – emotion
