An anthology consisting of loose plates featuring concrete and visual poetry by some of the more prominent Spanish avant-garde artists and poets, including Fernando Millán, Juan Carlos Aberasturi, José Antonio Cáceres, Enrique Uribe, Jokín Díez, Francisco J. Zabala, and Jesús García Sánchez. Complete with an introductory essay in Spanish, and a duplicate example of Juan Carlos Aberasturi’s contribution.
Issued as ‘situacion uno’ and published by Grupo n.o., which was founded in May 1968 by Fernando Millán, Enrique Uribe, Juan Carlos Aberasturi, Jokín Díez, and Jesús García Sánchez. Together they signed a manifesto defending the avant-garde arts in Spain. The group later added other artists, including José Antonio Cáceres, Miguel Lorenzo, Francisco J. Zabala, and Amado Ramón Millán.
A rare and delightful publication from one of the more overlooked countries with regard to concrete and visual poetry.
