die blaue flut

die blaue flut

Stuttgart: Edition Hansjörg Mayer, 1967. First edition of 500 of which this no. 133. Small softcover 8vo in printed wraps. Printed in black and white. Text in German and English.

A poetic diary written for the year 1966 in alternating in English and German. Unlike most of Rot’s other books, this one has no images and is instead typeset in various sizes of Futura Bold and Regular, typical of Hansjörg Mayer publications. One of the more intriguing details is that all punctuation characters are spelled out using words. Reminiscent of disassembled and reassembled almanack with personal annotations.

Very good with darkening and reading crease along spine, trace amounts of rubbing to covers and age toning throughout. Item #491
