New York: Charles Scribner’s Sons, 1972. 8vo in printed softcover wraps. Unpaginated.
Beginning with a printed dedication to his wife Bobbie, this book features a gathering of prose and poetry by this Black Mountain College alumni. In addition to Creeley’s writing, this book gets top marks for the iconic front and back cover design by Robert Indiana. That and the fact that the prose portion of the book is printed without pagination. A deliberate conceptual underpinning? Or a mistake by the typesetting department? Perhaps we’ll never know.
Very good with trace amounts of rubbing to front and back cover with some light foxing and darkening around text block, and original department store price sticker on back cover. Item #53
