Bloomington, Indiana: Thomas Ockerse, 1970. First edition of 500, of which this is no. 319. White cardboard box 8.875 x 11.3125 x 0.75" in size with affixed label in three colors containing an unbound eight-page pamphlet printed in black and white, and fifty-four 8.5 x 11" plates printed in color and black and white, four of which are blank divider sheets. Pamphlet inscribed and signed by the artist.

An artists’ book in a box comprised of fifty loose plates divided into five chapters, featuring concrete and visual poems, figurative and abstract designs, typographic sculptures, and appropriated postage stamps and postcards. With an introduction by the Danish poet and artist Vagn Steen. This example signed and incribed 'To Steve' by the artist.

Plates very good or better showing only light bumps at tips and trace amounts of age toning. Box with age toning, surface scratches, a touch of scattered foxing along bottom left margin, and two 0.25 x 1.5" x surface sticker abrasions to front and back (from box presumably being taped at some point). Thus good only. Item #671
