Stuttgart: Edition Rot, 1966. Edition of 500. Square 8vo (15 x 15 cm) issued as a fifteen-panel leporello. Unpaginated. Text in German.

Issue no. 26 of the Rot series largely devoted to concrete poetry and the exploration of language and letterforms. This issue with Hansjörg Mayer’s layered typo-texts set in Futura which build as the book unfolds. A definitive Mayer piece with an introductory essay by Mathias Goeritz. Edited by Max Bense and Elisabeth Walther.

Each issue features the same German quote by Ernst Bloch on the back cover which translates into ‘There are also red secrets in the world, actually, only red.’

Very good with trace amounts of rubbing and small chipping along top margin of front cover, bumps to corners, and age toning throughout. Item #729
