Buenos Aires: Centro de Arte y Comunicación (CAyC), 1971. First edition. 21 x 29.7 cm (8.3 x 11.7") single sheet printed in black and white on recto and verso on thin paper. Text in Spanish.

Printed letter by Mirtha Dermisache featuring her asemic writing consisting of illegible words which allow the reader to impart their significance. Dermisache’s graphisms democratize language and create intimate reading experiences without grammar or syntax. Words are turned into something abstract, which in turn examines the possibilities of language and the need for human communication. One of her first publications issued on the occasion of the 1971 exhibition titled ’Arte de Sistemas’ organized by Jorge Glusberg at Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires. Scarce on account of its ephemeral nature. At the time of cataloguing WorldCat locates only one holding catalogued in Europe.

Age toning to sheet on account of the paper quality. Else near fine. Item #785
