The first and only issue of this artists’ publication edited by Hans Clavin, Herman Damen, Robert Joseph, and Gerrit Jan de Rook, that explores language and visual and concrete poetry as a definitive artform. Translated text from verso side of title page states: ‘totaal 1 is the first issue of a series of publications, in which people, starting from semiotics as an imaginative principle, show work: designs and activities as signals from reality.’
Very good with scuffing and rubbing to covers, including a few faint crease lines and wear around extremities resulting in some chipping, and a blue bookshop stamp at inside front cover. With darkening along text block extremities on account of the paper quality, including age toning to pages and one faint stain at upper foredge affecting the last few pages. Item #846
