Jacobs Ladder Gallery: Jacobs Ladder Gallery, 1972. 18 x 24" poster printed in black and white on recto and verso on cream colored paper, folded twice for mailing (as issued).

A poster for Johnson’s 1972 exhibition at the Jacobs Ladder Gallery. The recto side features one hundred and nineteen of Johnson’s infamous bunnies in three groupings, with the first grouping outlining the details of the show, the second a review of his New York Correspondence School by John Gruen from New York Magazine, and the third specifying the collections in which Johnson’s work can be found in, including Mr. and Mrs. Jim Rosenquist, Dick Higgins, Merce Cunningham, Andy Warhol, and The Whitney Museum. Verso features the gallery address and date of the show printed at top right corner of one of the four folded panels.

Light rubbing with pin holes to each of the four corners, two diagonal 1" abrasions along top left and right corners and a 6” abrasion at top middle from removal of tape, and three faint stains in the top right quadrant, else very good. Item #86
