Antwerpen: Guy Schraenen éditeur, 1975. Third edition of 1,000, of which this is one of the 300 signed examples. 36.5 x 47.5 cm (14.4 x 18.7") unbound folio newspaper consisting of two folded sheets printed in black and white. Unpaginated [8 pp.]. Text in Spanish. Signed in pencil by the artist.

Artists’ book in the form of an 8-page newspaper by Mirtha Dermisache featuring her asemic writing consisting of illegible words which allow the reader to impart their significance. Dermisache’s graphisms democratize language and create intimate reading experiences without grammar or syntax. Words are turned into something abstract, which in turn examines the possibilities of language and the need for human communication. This example signed by Dermisache in her unique handwriting at lower back cover.

The third edition of this publication issued by Guy Schraenen éditeur. The first edition was published in 1972 by Jorge Glusberg at CAyC in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Hard horizontal fold line down the middle, faint bumps to corners, and trace amounts of age toning. Else near fine.
