Köln: Np, 1993. 23 x 16 cm (9 x 6.3") empty brown kraft envelope with several rubber stamps applied to recto and verso, including a small white label printed in black, and postage markings. Signed and dated by the artist.
A piece of original mail art by Endre Tót featuring his recurring “I AM GLAD IF I CAN STAMP” mantra applied to verso side of an empty envelope. On top of the stamps is a small white label which reads ‘SAVE THIS! YOUR HEIRS WILL GET MUCH MONEY FOR IT AT SOTHEBY’S.’ Signed by Tót and dated 1971/93.
Handling creases and signs of being mailed, including a pin hole at top middle margin, and holes from where the envelope clasp once was. Very good. Item #882
