Np: Np, Nd. Softcover 8vo in gray die cut wrappers exposing the title page. Pages printed in black on recto sides on white paper, with three blank pink divider pages. Unpaginated [24 pp.] Text in English, German, and Czech.
A written documentation of J. H. Kocman’s projects realized between 1965–1973. Organized into various ‘activities,’ including ‘graphic-activity, object-activity, text-activity, poem-activity, book-object-activity, preparated-book-activity, chromatographic-activity, report-activity, bipolar-activity, touch-activity, body-works’ and so on, with a list of works issued under each category. A scarce recording of this Czech avant-garde artist, who frequently erased the boundaries between conceptual art, concrete poetry, mail art, and stamp art during a time when Czechoslovakia was under communist rule. Includes information on Kocman’s exhibitions, publications, biography, and a thoughtful introductory essay by Jirí Valoch, one of Kocman’s frequent collaborator, colleague, and friend.
Trace amounts of darkening along spine, age toning to pages, and faint wrinkles to a few of the pages from the binding process. Else near fine. Item #895
