Np (amsterdam): in-out productions, 1974. First edition. 32mo in white card stock wrappers bound with a clear plastic clip with title handwritten in black ink at front cover. Pages Xeroxed in black, with one additional page at middle appropriated from a pocketbook calendar that has been rubber stamped five times. 6 pp.

Small and brief artists’ book by G. J. de Rook created for and issued on the occasion of his 1974 exhibition ‘Failure Pieces.’ The middle page features an appropriated page from a pocketbook calendar with five dates between October 25 and October 28, where each day has been rubber stamped with the phrase ‘i’m a failure.’ The exhibition ran November 12–December 23, 1974, at the In-Out-Center in Amsterdam and featured an array of conceptual art by de Rook, including a wooden box filled with unopened and unanswered letters, a framed empty bag of licorice candy, and various framed photographs combined with letters and text works on paper. One of two of exhibitions held by de Rook at the In-Out-Center, which operated between 1972–1974. De Rook was invited to join the collaborative by Ulises Carrión who had seen his work as one of the editors of the assembling magazine ‘Bloknoot’ first published in 1968. Definitively Dutch by one of the best.
